Mark Milliken

Mark is the Co-Founder and President of the Tyler Milliken Foundation, and Tyler’s father. Since 2011, he has been an active advocate for teen driving safety and presented the foundation’s “Be Safe – Be Saved” message many times at events including the National Safety Council and INGAA Foundation annual meetings, and at multiple High School and Faith Based scholarship presentations.

Professionally, Mark has served in multiple leadership positions in the Oil and Gas industry. He has held various Safety, Security, Emergency Management and Technical positions with Coastal Corporation, El Paso Corporation, Enterprise Products, Southern Union and Energy Transfer. Mark currently serves as the Vice President of Technical Services for Energy Transfer.

Mark graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1979 and resides in Richmond, Texas with his wife Sheryl.

Michael Milliken

Michael is the Vice President and co-founder of the Tyler Milliken Foundation. Michael assists with foundation operations and his responsibilities range from production of charity events and social media management to public speaking engagements. 

Michael currently resides in Cypress, TX with his wife Taryn. A Houstonian, Michael earned his degree in Business Administration from Lubbock Christian University where he was also an athlete on the collegiate golf team. He currently works as a Sr. Account Representative with Energy Transfer where he negotiates short and long term transportation contracts for the Transwestern, Tiger, and Fayetteville pipelines. In his free time Michael loves to golf, BBQ, and enjoys listening to live music.

Steve Ellison

Steve Ellison

Steve is a Founding Board Member of the Tyler Milliken Foundation, assisting primarily with the Foundation’s legal issues. 

Steve resides in Houston with his wife Tracey and one daughter that’s attends Episcopal High School. The Ellisons have four adult children and attend First Presbyterian Church in Houston.  Steve grew up in the Texas Panhandle and attended the University of Texas where he earned degrees in Finance and Law.  He works as Managing Counsel, Global Health, Safety and Environmental Law for ConocoPhillips.  Steve spends his free time traveling with his children, ranching or playing golf (badly).

Terry Nehls

Terry Nehls

Terry is a Founding Board Member of the Tyler Milliken Foundation. Terry assists the foundation with Charity Events, Fundraising and Public Speaking Opportunities.

Terry resides in Richmond, TX with his wife Nina. Terry grew up in Wisconsin with his 6 siblings and received an aeronautical degree from Embry Riddle University. Terry is currently a pilot for Delta Airlines as well as a Commercial Real Estate developer. In his spare time, Terry enjoys playing golf and traveling.

Blake Stotler

Blake is a Partner in a commodity trading company in Dripping Springs, TX, as well as a Partner in GBS Financial, a real estate company in Austin, TX. After receiving his B.A. in Marketing from Baylor University in 2001, he began his career trading agricultural commodities in Houston, TX.

Currently, Blake resides in Driftwood, TX, with his wife Erin and two daughters Blakely and Ainsley. Blake has served on his church’s finance board, as a Board Member for Hunters for Hero’s, President of the CFA, and still finds time to coach his daughter’s basketball team. Blake enjoys fly fishing on the Texas coast and bird hunting.

Jake Weersing

As a Board Member of the Tyler Milliken Foundation, Jake is involved with fundraising events, sponsorships, and the Foundation’s scholarship program. Growing up in Pecan Grove and graduating from Travis High School only a year apart, Jake and Tyler were teammates and close friends throughout the years.

After receiving his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University, Jake headed to our nation’s capital, where he chose Georgetown to continue his graduate studies. After completing his education, Jake returned home to Houston to begin his career in commercial real estate, in which he still works today. If Jake isn’t playing or watching golf in his free time, there’s a good chance you’ll find him enjoying restaurants, live music, or wine.

Teagan Nehls

Teagan Nehls

As a Member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, Teagan assists the foundation with Charity Events and Public Speaking Opportunities. 

Teagan currently resides in Houston, TX. Teagan grew up in Pecan Grove alongside Tyler and the Millikens, and later received his Bachelor's degree in Finance from May's Business School at Texas A&M. Teagan currently works at Woodforest National Bank as a Commercial Real Estate Relationship Manager. In his spare time, Teagan enjoys playing/watching sports and traveling.

Steven Crawford

Steven is a Texas CPA who assists the Foundation in a range of areas including finance & accounting, digital presence, events, and speaking engagements.

Steven currently resides near downtown Houston, TX. Steven grew up in the Pecan Grove neighborhood outside of Houston where he was a teammate, classmate, and friend of Tyler’s. Steven attended the University of Texas at Austin where he earned degrees from the McCombs School of Business. After beginning his career in public accounting, Steven transitioned to the industry space where he has since worked in oil & gas, steel, and distribution. He currently works as an entrepreneur building an accounting technology startup.

Henry Ellison

Henry is one of the Foundation’s newest Board Members. He lives in Houston, where he was raised and went to high school before attending college at Washington University in St. Louis and later medical school at the University of Virginia. He now works as a resident physician in internal medicine at Houston Methodist Hospital. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and beating his Dad at golf.

Joseph Howell

Joseph is one of the Foundation’s newest Board Members. Joseph will support the Foundation in achieving its goals through educating teens on safety and spreading the message of Be Safe - Be Saved.

Joseph grew up in Pecan Grove and was in the same graduating class as Tyler at Travis High School. After high school, Joseph attended Texas State where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Joseph currently lives in San Antonio, TX and works for Howard Energy Partners as a Measurement Analyst. Joseph enjoys football, spending time with friends and family, fishing, and hunting.

Cody Cartwright

Cody is one of the Foundation’s newest Board Members who will be assisting the Foundation in the annual golf fundraiser, public speaking events, and also promoting the core values of the Tyler Milliken Foundation as a Board Member.

Cody is currently a proud resident of Houston, TX after growing up in Richmond, TX and graduating from the Rawls Business School at Texas Tech with a marketing degree. Cody currently works at Westin Homes as a Project Manager in Southwest Houston. In his free time, Cody likes to hunt, fish, watch his local sports franchises, and hang out with his friends and family.

Nakita Hariri

Nakita is the Foundation’s newest Board Member, excited to assist in event coordination and finance & accounting matters. Her previous experience planning and executing large events will greatly contribute to the Foundation’s continued community impact in Tyler’s name.

Nakita grew up in Pecan Grove and was close friends with Tyler after first meeting in high school. Nakita attended the University of Texas at Austin where she earned her Masters in Accounting from the McCombs School of Business. She is a Texas CPA and currently serves as a Management Consultant for a large global Consulting firm. Nakita enjoys traveling the world to experience new cultures, testing new restaurants to uphold her Yelp Elite status, and watching sports - no matter how tough she sometimes finds it as a Houston and UT fan.
